DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb

We only stayed one night, but had a really lovely experience. Breakfast had lots to choose from, the staff were attentive, and they served freshly made coffee at the table. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and professional, and the spa and pool were great. Martina at the front desk was especially friendly at check-in and helped us pick the best room for a good night's sleep after a long flight. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. We'll definitely come back.

The rooftop spa and gym on the 10th floor were a real highlight, a great way to unwind after a long day. The Deluxe room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, with an excellent mattress and a large bathroom. The showers and curtains could use a deeper clean. Staff were consistently kind and welcoming, and made me feel at home. Breakfast was good, though more protein for non-meat eaters and healthier carbs would be appreciated. DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb is a nice place to relax and recharge, in an amazing location. I'd happily stay again.

We were able to get into our room a little early when we arrived, which we really appreciated. The staff were warm and polite, and the hotel was clean, pet-friendly, and had all the amenities we needed. It’s also only a short walk from the lower part of town. Highly recommend!

I’ll stay here again because the hotel itself and its location are great. I just hope the staff communicate with guests before making assumptions next time. At checkout, they worked out the parking charge by the hour because they wanted to charge me less. They hadn’t asked what my plans were, though. I would have said I planned to leave the car until the afternoon, so the parking wasn’t set up as a full-day stay from the start. We did get it sorted in the end. This was also the second time at a Hilton property that my whole stay was charged as a new transaction instead of being taken from the deposit or hold. The bank can then keep the held funds for up to 30 days, while the hotel gets paid right away. When I brought it up, staff said they could have two separate transactions and one receipt. The problem was simply communication. If they’d asked, I would have been fine with two receipts, one for the room and one for parking. The policy of one transaction per receipt is unusual to me. What would happen if a customer wanted to pay part of the stay in cash and part by card?
