We stayed in the spring room in early November. Although it’s close to the center and the host was nice when we arrived, the bath and dishwasher were broken. Cooking was nearly impossible with blunt knives and pans that looked awful, and the beds were very uncomfortable. The worst part was the cigarette smell in a room clearly listed as non-smoking. We spent the whole night in that stink. It was a horrible stay, and I’d tell people to book elsewhere, even on a budget, since there are much better and cheaper options.

We paid 35 euros for two people, but for just a few euros more there are other places near the city center that feel like five-star stays by comparison. Our experience depended a lot on the flatmates: unfortunately, ours decided to cook dinner at 11 pm, making a lot of noise and showing no awareness of other tenants or house rules. The ceilings were covered in spider webs, the bathroom was mouldy, and the mattresses were so poor that my lower back suffered. This is a one-star place.

The location was very good and the room was okay, but the heater didn't work. On one day we also had no hot water in the shower.

The host was nice, but the room was painfully cold, and there wasn't a proper warm duvet. We had to pile up several blankets just to warm up a little. There was also an awful smell, as if someone had been smoking in the room nonstop before we arrived. I had a bad headache throughout all five days, and I suspect the smell caused it.
