6/10
The kitchen was tiny and uninviting, with nowhere to sit nearby, and it wasn’t like other hostels we’re used to. Still, it’s a decent place for a quick one-night stay. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the ensuite shower had strong water pressure. Staff were kind and very helpful. There’s parking for five cars down a very steep entrance, which some cars might struggle with.

Dinner was always meat-based, with no options for vegans or people with religious dietary restrictions. Breakfast was just plain bread and jam, with no variety. My room was freezing because the heating didn’t work, and the only blanket was thin. The broken shutter let in both light and cold air, making it even harder to sleep comfortably. I had a terrible stay and can’t understand the positive reviews. If you want a comfortable place that considers its guests’ needs, look elsewhere. I strongly advise against staying here.

The staff were nice, and the location was good, so it’s a good choice for a few days in Zagreb. Our room turned out to be smaller than it looked in the photos, but the terrace was a surprisingly nice bonus.

Parking is a big plus, and we walked to the city centre in an easy 15-20 minutes. The place is solid. Rooms are smaller than they appear in the photos, but not terrible. Fine for a shower and a night’s sleep. Breakfast is about 3/5, enough for a day or two.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times as a family and love it. We also had to coordinate lots of rooms with the boss for an upcoming wedding, and that was no problem at a fair price. The staff are all really nice, the rooms are modern, and breakfast is great. There are bakeries, grocery stores, and ATMs around the hostel, parking is possible, and the next tram stop is only a five-minute walk away. WE LOVE IT!!
