We had a good stay during our September 2025 visit to Zagreb and I'd come back. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the staff member who welcomed us was very friendly and spoke English well. There was a bakery and ATM nearby. The hostel is in a Zagreb suburb, so getting to the center means taking a train, bus, or taxi. The train wasn't very reliable, but it was okay most days. The hostel is on the second and third floors, above a typical Croatian 'bar caffe' that serves drinks, not a nightclub. It didn't disturb our sleep at all. On a couple of nights we stopped in for a drink after coming back from the city center, and the atmosphere was quite lovely.

The room was clean, they gave us a discount, and the place is open 24 hours. But getting to the room means climbing narrow stairs, maybe 50 cm wide, which seem extremely dangerous in a fire. There was a strong cigarette smell almost everywhere outside the room. The shared bathroom was only average for cleanliness, dusty, poorly ventilated, and the water was hard to regulate. You enter through the bar, so there's no privacy. The door lock didn't work well and eventually broke. The location isn't convenient, with only a bakery and private houses nearby.

The staff were very kind, and the room was nice and clean. The bathroom was shared, but it was right across from my room, and I was the only one using it, so it stayed clean. There's a kitchen on the first floor for everyone to use. It's a quiet hostel and easy to get to from central Zagreb, either by one bus and a train or by two trains.

The staff speak English, and they were very kind and helpful. Prices are reasonable. They let us in in the middle of the night without any trouble, even though several other places had refused.
