Pod Zidom Rooms

Right in the heart of beautiful Zagreb, and I couldn't fault the accommodation. The rooms were spotless, secure, and thoughtfully decorated, with lots of considerate extras: bottled water, a Lilly coffee machine and pods, assorted teas, L’Occitane toiletries, a sewing kit that I needed, soft fresh towels, plenty of pillows, a comfortable bed, and clean linens. Big thanks to Ellen & Elsie for the wonderful work they do. Marko was always available and very helpful. Both restaurants downstairs are 10/10. A warning about taxis: some may rip you off. We were charged €119 to the airport. Ask Marko for reputable taxi companies.

I stayed for a couple of nights and would definitely come back if I get to visit Zagreb again. The building feels secure and safe, and the room was bright, clean, and nicely presented, with a little balcony over the street. We had complimentary drinks, excellent toiletries, and plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. It was quiet at night, just off the main square and close to shops, bars, and restaurants. There's an excellent restaurant downstairs. I'd recommend it.

We had a really enjoyable dinner at the Bistro, and the rooms were excellent: comfortable beds, complete quiet, good facilities, a coffee machine, free bottled water, and a perfect location. Nearby public parking was an easy walk through a nice part of town. Marko was friendly and helpful from the moment I emailed about booking two rooms for one night and asking about dinner. It felt like he really cared about our experience. Zagreb is a pretty city and worth seeing.

The manager was in touch regularly during our three-night stay, checking that everything was okay and doing his best to meet our requests. That was reassuring. Our room was comfortable and immaculate, just what we hoped for, and nearly all the main attractions were an easy walk away. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it 10/10.
