The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff were kind and ready to help. The rooms themselves are very basic, though there are free parking spaces beside the building, and it's easy to reach when passing through Croatia by transit. There was only lukewarm water, not hot, and some mold in the corner near the window. The large windows facing the street let in enough noise to bother light sleepers, so earplugs might help. There's also a coffee vending machine. :)

The main issue was bed bugs in three of the four rooms we booked for ten people in Zagreb. We had chosen the cheapest option and knew reviews were mixed, but finding bugs and eggs in a headboard, behind a mirror, on the carpet, and eventually in every room meant we couldn't stay. We first thought we could sleep on the floor in rooms that seemed clear, then realized that wasn't possible and left as quickly as we could. After the first night, we asked the hotel to address it and they offered one spare room, but more rooms turned out to be infested, so the problem wasn't resolved. I asked for a refund on July 14 and was told it would arrive within three business days. Eight business days later, there'd been no refund or contact. We've had to isolate our bags and clothes, try to get rid of any bugs, and worry about carrying them home. That's unacceptable, especially with no compensation. We have photos and other evidence of what happened. If you're willing to risk the infestation, the rooms have decent beds, a bathroom, and mild air conditioning. The sink sticks out into the bedroom, which is odd but manageable. The shower is handheld and works, though it's a nuisance because water gets all over the bathroom floor. Some solo travelers might even enjoy the bedbug company. I didn't.

After a 20-hour drive, this was a budget-friendly place to stop for one night. There's plenty of parking right outside, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds and working AC. We had a small issue with warm water in the shower, but got it sorted out quickly.

I'd have been better off sleeping in my car. This feels like a fitness studio with rooms that used to be offices, and ours smelled of cigarettes and sweat. The old windows let in all the noise from one of Zagreb's biggest avenues, so traffic carried on through the night. When that eased, people from the nightclub next door were outside smoking under the windows. The blinds were broken, too, so between the noise and street lights, it was hard to sleep, and the sun woke me early. The room was dirty. The staff weren't friendly, though they seemed to be fitness trainers who'd paused their workout just to hand us the key, rather than hotel staff. To reach the rooms, you go through a hardware store and a gym.
