The host gave excellent directions and was easy to deal with remotely, and the small shops nearby were handy. You can walk to pretty much anywhere central in Zagreb from here. It’s a clean, modern room in an old building, with comfortable mattresses on both the bed and the large extendable couch. We barely heard any outside noise. Just be aware that you can’t stand upright on the “upper floor.” Having private parking is a real plus, though the street entrance is very narrow with stone curbs on both sides, and there isn’t much room to maneuver in the courtyard. I’d definitely recommend the place.

Apartment Argo was a terrible experience from the moment we arrived. The parking space we’d been promised was partly on a main road, and the hallway was filthy and dusty. Inside, the apartment was dark and worn, and there were even greeting letters left by previous guests. The neighborhood felt dodgy, unsafe and unwelcoming, so we left straight away. Our deposit was gone, and when I contacted the tenant immediately, he showed no understanding.

The owner provides free parking, and the apartment has everything needed. It’s also very well located, about an 8-10-minute walk from the city center. A pleasant place for a short stay in Zagreb.
