The staff were polite and helpful, which is why I’d give it 3.5 stars. The room is dated, and the appliances are too. The refrigerator might as well be an oven. The TV and AC work, but they’re awkward to use if you don’t know those units. It did the basic job of providing a bathroom, a bed, and shelter. Keep your expectations low.

We paid 390kn each, over 2300 for six of us, for a New Year's Eve table with food and drinks. When we arrived, the pub was packed, there were police at the door, and the receptionist was arguing with several people at once. They had sold more tickets than they had seats, and every table was occupied. There wasn’t a single spare chair. Our reservation was on the list, but the receptionist sent us to find a waiter, who said seating wasn’t his job and that he only carried food. The receptionist then pointed out our table, but it was full too. We demanded our money back and spent two hours arguing. They wouldn’t refund us on the spot, said it would take a couple of days, and we had to return the next day to sort it out. Our New Year was ruined. We’re never going back.

After I booked and paid for a double room, a woman from the hotel called to say they’d accidentally booked me into a single instead. She offered a different date, but I couldn’t make that work and didn’t have enough time to find somewhere else, so I had to accept it. Two of us ended up sharing a one-person bed even though we’d paid for a double. The staff never even apologized for such a big mistake. The service was awful, and the woman was arrogant. Amateur stuff. Never again.

We’d paid for a table for six, but when we arrived the restaurant was full and they said there was no table for us. Dozens of other people were in the same situation. Is it really so hard to count the tables and chairs? They said the owner was “unfortunately” away and told us to email for reimbursement because there was no money in the till. We went back the next day to check on our refund, only to hear they hadn’t processed the accounts yet and we needed to email again with our IBAN. We’ll see how this ends. If it was a mistake, management clearly can’t do the job and should close the restaurant; if it was deliberate, they should be fined for cheating people.
