Villa Zaca

Zavala was one of our best holidays, and we were completely satisfied. The town isn’t saturated yet, and Villa Zaca is in an excellent spot, right on the waterfront. The owner and service were kind and attentive, and the apartment had all the amenities we needed, air conditioning and a terrace overlooking the sea. There are pebble beaches nearby, and the water is crystal clear. It’s hard to imagine anything better. We’ll definitely come again!

It’s a beautiful, quiet place right by the sea, and the coastline trail offers lovely scenery. The beach isn’t sandy, so bring swimming shoes if you plan to go in the water. A great restaurant with good food is two houses up the hill. There’s also a bar on the ground floor serving burgers and pizza, though payment is cash only. There’s an ATM at the house next door, but the cocktail selection is limited. Breakfast was amazing every morning. We took the ferry from Split to Hvar, then had about a 45-minute taxi ride from the port. The staff speak limited English but were very accommodating. They have air conditioning, and the rooms are pretty basic. The room I had didn’t have a TV, and the side rooms are a lot smaller than the others, as we found when we came as a group and compared them. My balcony view was amazing. It’s a nice place if you just want to relax and rest. There isn’t much to do apart from walking the trail, swimming and, of course, drinking :)

It’s a very calm, restful village, and I loved it here. The location right on the waterfront is great. The room was comfortable and had the essential air conditioning. There’s a cafe bar on the ground floor, with good value drinks and snacks.

Everything is just 5m from the sea, and the staff were pleasant and professional. The food was great. Warmly recommended.
