The house is well placed for getting around Istria, and the furnishings and decor are attractive and perfectly adequate. Still, at this rental price I expected more. There are several structural problems, and the interior looks like it was finished in a hurry, without much care. The grounds are pretty neglected, mostly weeds where there should be grass, and the lawn is scorched. The sprinklers seem never to be used. That did suit us in one way, since our dog didn't track wet dirt inside. The pool was much too cold, while the sea was several degrees warmer. This was our first holiday with check-in through a key box. It was easy and relaxed, though we did miss being welcomed by the landlord with bread, ham, and cheese.

The villa was modern and clean, and we felt right at home. The landlord was very nice too. The listing made it clear that the place is in a quiet area and that you need to drive a bit to get around, so we don't count that against the location. We'd happily return.

The pool was freezing even with 38°C outside, and the lawn was burnt. There were ants in the kitchen, a clogged shower head, and several lights that didn't work. The internet was unreliable, and even at its fastest only reached 2MB/s.

We had everything we needed in this modern, well-equipped house. A really good place for a vacation.
