Holiday Home Kamena Lodge

The hammocks were impossible to resist for a nap, and the beds were really comfortable. We had a lovely five days at Kamena Lodge, with a pool to lounge by and a quiet, restful setting not far from Split. Ann and Glynn were such friendly hosts. Glynn recommended a great restaurant in Split, and Ann made fresh bread and jam for breakfast. They even tried to teach us a new card game, though I was terrible at it. Had a great time and can’t wait to return. Thanks to you both.

Ann and Glen are such lovely, gracious hosts, always going out of their way to make sure you have what you need. The place is charming, clean, and spacious. It was the best hostel stay I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Split, stay here!

A pool, shady hammocks, and loungers make it easy to relax here. It’s a peaceful base for visiting Split, which is only ten minutes away by taxi or car, or for doing activities outside town. We stayed in a private room with its own bathroom, and everything was clean and tidy. The hosts were wonderful, kind, and helpful.

I’ve stayed in around 30-40 hostels across Europe, and this one is definitely in my top five. It’s a great place to meet other people if you’re travelling solo. The atmosphere, owners, and surroundings are lovely, with great views and walks. It’s especially nice to stay a little outside the centre during the busy tourist season.
