Rezidence Castello Apartments

We had a lovely sunset view from our terrace, and the air conditioning worked well. WiFi was a bit unreliable, though it didn’t cause us much trouble, and most of the TV channels were in German. There are two pools and a modern washing machine, which came in handy. Villa Castello sits between two beaches, about a 10-minute drive from Korcula old town. A taxi costs around €15, and the manager offered us a ride to the port. You can also take a water taxi to La'Banya beach for €10, or €17 return. La'Banya and Mimi's are both about a five-minute walk away, and we really enjoyed spending the day at either beach. We’d gladly recommend the place.

We had booked an apartment with two double rooms for two couples, well in advance and for two nights. Without warning, the property gave our room to other guests for the second night, so we had to move during our stay. The replacement was a downgrade: no washing machine, no private room, and no pool, just a bunk bed for children. The service was very poor. Overbooking seemed standard with the young staff, and I wouldn’t book here given that service.

The views are great, and the place is quiet and clean, well away from the city and the tourists. A lovely spot to visit and stay if you want to recharge your batteries. I’d recommend it.

The view is lovely, and it’s very quiet with a small beach nearby. The apartment is OK for the price. Food at the restaurant was OK too, and the wine was very good.
