Hollókői Vendégház

A few days here can pull you right out of the gray routine. The unique atmosphere is completely relaxing, with a pleasant, calm and quiet setting, plus nearby hiking. We had delicious Hungarian food and especially tasty drinks. Really, EVERYTHING is very, very good!

We spent a week here with several families, and I can recommend the guesthouse. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the kids got to watch a tractor and use a forklift. The rooms are simple, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a huge covered space for meeting and dining. You can also grill, bake and cook in several ways. There’s a small playground with a slide, swing bed and little rocking chair, plus ping pong, saunas, a swimming pool and a Norwegian kettle with a boiler. It’s well built and clear the owners invested in it. My rating would really be 4.5 stars. The one downside is that the place is getting popular, and the earlier investment in the infrastructure seems to be running down. I’d recommend renovations.

Such lovely people, and a really welcoming, home-like place. We felt at home there. Thank you so much, I highly recommend it.

The pool and hot tub were really good, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We stayed three nights with our family and children and felt very comfortable in this real village house. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys peace and rural tourism. Thank you very much.
