Alsóörs Marina Hotel

Everyone on staff was attentive, upbeat, and clearly well trained. They even kept our bikes overnight in the marina garage, and parking beside the hotel was free in a camera monitored area. We were unsure about booking a three star place, but the experience felt close to five star. The hotel sits in a quiet marina among lots of yachts, with lovely Balaton views from the rooms, most of which have generous balconies. Our room was large and modern, with a second inner door to the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate WC, plenty of shower space, and a big basin area. There was ample wardrobe space, comfortable beds, good pillows, and thoughtfully designed lighting. Brilliant stay.

We appreciated the breakfast that came with the stay, and parking worked out well too. They even let us keep the car there with a late checkout in the evening, so we could enjoy the whole day at the beach. The hotel is almost beside Alsóörs strand, and the rooms were spotless. The staff helped us whenever we needed anything. My wife and I had a lovely, peaceful stay by Balaton and would definitely return.

We had a late lunch at this stylish marina and really enjoyed the food. The chef came over to explain the cooking techniques he uses, and the short menu blends traditional dishes with newer ideas. Service was caring and polite. They accidentally brought the wrong order, then made the correct dish for us at no extra charge. Bravo, I'd recommend the place.

The views from every room are fantastic, and the little hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms. Service was great throughout, and the staff were so helpful. We ate at Alma restaurant and thought the food was excellent. We'd stay here again.
