We were glad to find somewhere for just one night, booking only two weeks before the trip. The location worked really well, near the stage, bazaar and Lake Balaton. We met friends there, grilled in the yard and watched the summer closing party and all the activity from there. They accommodated everything we asked for, including use of the kitchen and fridge, and the dishes were washed by the next day. The rooms and bathroom were clean, and the window had a mosquito net, so we could leave it open overnight and still sleep comfortably in the cool air. We were happy with what we paid and would come back.

The bed was comfortable, and there was a mosquito screen on the window, which mattered since there’s no air conditioning and an open window was the only way to sleep properly. We could also use the tables and dishes from the restaurant that wasn’t operating. Still, the rooms felt like they hadn’t been maintained since the 1980s. Our door wouldn’t close, but it also wouldn’t stay open. There was a huge toilet paper holder beside the toilet that couldn’t be opened, so it was useless and in the way. The biggest shock was having to pay to park in the hotel’s own yard, especially given the state of the parking area. I found that outrageous and have never encountered it elsewhere. It’s very cheap, which I heard people say repeatedly during my stay. The location is handy for partygoers, just behind the main square and about half a minute from the stage, if you don’t mind the room condition and only need somewhere to sleep.

It’s a little retro and definitely not a luxury apartment, but the price is friendly. I mainly needed a place to sleep and shower, and that was fine. We were with family, and everything was nearby, from food, drinks, restaurants and bars to shops and swimming in Lake Balaton. Great location. Thanks very much!
