The soups were both excellent, and the pork knuckle, “túrós csusza” pasta, and “madártej” were just as good as we’ve come to expect. We return to Kistücsök once a year, and the quality is consistently high. Our server was kind and very professional, and the service was flawless. It remains a pleasure to come back.

We came across this food court while staying at the Balaton Akali camping and had a very good meal of local dishes. The staff were welcoming, and they spoke English and German as well as Hungarian. For two people, our three-course à la carte lunch with wine, beer, and coffee came to under 80 Swiss Francs. Highly recommend.

The pork knuckle was the best I’ve ever had, with incredible flavor and cooking, and the sides were just as mind-blowing. Great wines, a relaxed atmosphere, and formidable service made for an incredible meal. Don’t miss this restaurant.

The room itself was clean, but during our two-night stay nobody came to clean it. We had to refill the water and take out the garbage ourselves. Dinner was good on the first night. The next day we ordered the same roasted pork cutlets, but they smelled bad and didn’t seem fresh. We told the waiter, who simply removed the dish and asked us to choose something else from the menu, without even apologizing. I’m left wondering how this restaurant has had a Michelin recommendation for three years.
