A really good budget hostel. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and my stay was comfortable for a very affordable price. Great value if you want decent accommodation without spending much.

The back garden is a lovely place to hang out, with chairs and a picnic table, including one chair that swings. The manager is very nice and will chat into the evening on some nights. Every so often he cooks a traditional Hungarian meal for guests. I liked the mix of interesting people who came through, and the hostel feels like a family. It's also quite quiet despite being in the city. The kitchen is nicely set up, and there’s a veranda that gets sun for much of the day. They also have a volunteer program, with a few spots at a time for people to help welcome guests, clean, and make beds in return for free accommodation.

It’s a small, relaxed hostel that made me feel at home. Since there aren’t many guests, it’s easy to meet people, make friends, and share cultures. The owner sometimes made Hungarian food for us in the garden, which was great, and he was kind and helpful with any questions about Hungary or Budapest. It’s outside the city center, but bus stops are close by and the metro station is a 15-minute walk away. I loved the chilled-out atmosphere!

The hostel was in a handy spot, about a 10-minute walk from the metro. It's also convenient if you're heading by train or bus to Prague, Austria, or somewhere else. There’s an open kitchen for cooking and chatting, and I met welcoming people there. We swapped stories and languages, and those times were some of the best I've had. Ten stars for the friendly owner and staff. The owner is local and can suggest restaurants serving traditional food. He also offers paid guiding trips to secret places, and knows a lot about history. I loved staying here and definitely want to come back.

One of Budapest's best laid-back hostels. It felt like a home away from home, with a lovely garden and a really nice host. There’s a metro connection to the city center. Highly recommended ❤️
