Korona Pension

Korona is a small, quaint hotel with 23 rooms in a quiet residential neighborhood. I tried it as a less expensive alternative to my usual hotel, and for the price and convenience it wasn’t bad. It’s not a Marriott or even a Holiday Inn, so keep expectations in check. The carpet could use replacing, as others have said, but by pension standards I found it quite comfortable. Parking only fits about 3-4 cars, while public transport is easy to find.

Choose another hotel. The room had a cockroach, and I found the whole place disgusting. The towels were torn and stained with Domestos, and I suspect the bed linen isn’t changed after every guest. The air conditioner didn’t work. The refrigerator had ice in it, yet felt warmer inside than the room. The windows were old and their handles barely stayed on. I had to spend the night, then left early in the morning. I’d never stay there again, and wish I’d read the instructions before arriving.

The staff were very nice and the rooms were clean. For such a low price, everything was very good. We’ll gladly come back.

Never again. The room smelled musty, the carpets and bedding were dirty, and the towels had colored stains. The electricity was out, and the refrigerator was broken, completely moldy, and unappetizing. The window handles were broken and had fallen off. We paid 130 euros for two nights, plus extra for parking. The hotel is in a disastrous state, and I can’t understand how it’s being run like this. Find somewhere else and stay away.
