We never got to see the accommodation. We had booked in January for a trip with friends, and still had a confirmed reservation in the booking.com system. Luckily, I called a week before we were due to arrive to arrange a time. The woman who answered sounded a bit frustrated and first said she’d call us back. When she did, she calmly told us our booking was no longer valid and the rooms had been given to someone else. Several hours later, they dealt with the double booking by cancelling ours, claiming we hadn’t paid the deposit. That simply wasn’t true. This is outrageous and completely unacceptable!

The way they deal with bookings is outrageous and frustrating. My girlfriend and I booked for August back in January, planning a little break. When we called to ask when we could book the accommodation, they told us there was no reservation because everything had been cancelled due to the virus. They’d simply forgotten to tell us. Then, once this came out, they blamed us for not paying the deposit, which we had paid. An angry guest.

The host is nice, but the bathroom really needs a thorough renovation.
