We spent one day swimming and also drove out to some larger towns about 25-30 km away. In our downtime, we bowled and used the jacuzzi, and parking at the hotel was free with plenty of space. The staff were warm and attentive, and the buffet breakfast had the food and drinks we wanted. We also got a complimentary lunch at Hordó restaurant, which was excellent in both quality and portion size. We were there for four days and three nights with a friendly couple. It had been 15 years since our last visit to Bük, when we stayed in a self-catering apartment. This time, being older, we wanted somewhere nicer and more comfortable. The four-star hotel has new, comfortable furniture, plus a well-equipped kitchenette with a microwave and coffee maker. The heating was easy to regulate, and there was an electric towel rail in the bathroom. Don't take it as a threat, but we'll be back with our family.

There was no shampoo, tissues, or toilet seat at the spa. During our four-day stay, the room was never cleaned and the trash wasn't taken out either. The bathroom boiler only supplied around five minutes of hot water, so the two of us couldn't shower one after the other without it running out. The air conditioner was so loud that we couldn't relax, even when it was switched off. Calling this a four-star hotel is misleading. It's an apartment building beside the spa, and it was a huge disappointment for us. If you're expecting four-star service, don't choose this place.
The dinner buffet at nearby Hordó restaurant, about a five-minute drive away, was excellent, and I'm glad we didn't miss it. At breakfast in the hotel restaurant there was plenty to choose from: fresh crusty rolls, sliced bread, cold cuts, cheese, vegetables, cookies, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, and more. No complaints about the food, everyone who wanted to eat could find something. The tea selection could have been better organized, though. Some tea bags that had run out on Monday weren't replaced by Tuesday, and it would have helped if the different, possibly unlabelled, bags had been kept in separate boxes instead of having to sniff them to find the black tea. At least I got to make English Breakfast tea on Wednesday. Maybe the busy peak-season crowd had something to do with that. We booked both breakfast and dinner with our stay. We chose the hotel for a three-day trip to Bük because we were done with student-style accommodation and wanted something better. Booking directly on the hotel website was quick and easy, and didn't cost much more than Booking. The hotel is modern and attractive, the rooms are huge, especially with the terrace, and the furnishings are good. The staff were helpful too. When we asked for help with the air conditioning heat setting after we arrived, they fixed it straight away, though we didn't need it in the end because the weather was good the whole time. The bathroom was spotless, and even the shower hose, which can be a weak point, was in perfect shape, with no leaks or damage. The drain handled the water properly too. Cleanliness was generally quite good, although we spotted a few crumbs when we arrived. That's not a major problem, but the "Cleaning required" sign we hung on the door handle on the second morning didn't seem to get much attention. There were also a few pieces of paper left in an unemptied bin. A minor miss, really. We weren't staying for months, and at home we don't take the trash out every day either. I still think there's room for improvement. The four-star rating feels a bit generous at the moment, more like a strong three-star place, but I can confidently recommend it and we'd go back if we had the chance. I hope the hotel finds guests who appreciate its above-average quality.
The room was spacious and lovely, with a smart TV and a curious indoor terrace, and breakfast was quite alright. But it creaked over and over, almost like a wooden house, and sometimes woke us up. There were also several charges on the bill that we hadn't expected, beyond the city tax. According to the translator app, one seemed to be for parking.
It's a quiet hotel close to the thermal bath entrance, and all the services worked without any problems. The downside is how far the hotel, and the whole Fürdõ area, is from Bük town, where the pubs and other places are. It's about a 20-minute brisk walk.
