Margó Vendégház

We had a comfortable stay in the spacious ground-floor apartment with a terrace at Margó Guesthouse, and everything we needed was there. But the welcome was awkward: the host said he didn't know us and that we hadn't booked, then treated it like a joke. With our three children, aged 1, 3 and 5, we were told they couldn't play on the grass or in the front garden. It made me wonder why the place accepts children. We paid by card and were charged 12% extra, although staff at the beach said there was no such surcharge and cash and card should cost the same. After we accidentally left the gate key in the gate on our way to the beach on the first day, it was taken from us, though we could still use the main gate. The fridge barely cooled, and the freezer was packed with the host's frozen food, so there wasn't room for even one ice pack. There was also barbecuing and noise until dawn that nobody had mentioned. The beach was good and the area is very quiet, though there's really not much around. At the beach you can stroll about or get lunch, but nowhere would take a pizza order after 5 pm.

The rooms were clean and the host was friendly, but they felt cramped and you could hear through the thin walls. Four rooms share a kitchen rather than having one of their own. Each has a small private bathroom with a toilet and shower, accessed from the hallway. The water park is about a 10-minute walk away, and the shop is around five minutes away.

We had a great time, and it won't be our last visit. The hosts were kind, courteous, thoughtful, helpful, friendly, and flexible. Our room was clean and well equipped, and the bed was firm enough to be comfortable for my back.

We were very comfortable during our eight days at Margó Guesthouse. The owners welcomed us so warmly, almost like grandparents greeting family on vacation. The garden and neat yard were lovely, and the surroundings felt friendly. Our room was comfortable, tidy, and clean, as were the attached bathroom and kitchen. Everything was provided, and the hosts did their best to make guests comfortable. I recommend them to everyone and will keep doing so. Thank you for everything, Erika Józsi and Bálint.
