Aquaticum Debrecen Thermal and Wellness Hotel

There’s plenty to do at the hotel and in the thermal baths, and we found lots of ways to relax. The thermal benefits of the Recovery Balneo were a real plus. We loved the food, especially breakfast, dinner, and the afternoon cake buffet, which also has savory options. The hotel was clean and beautiful, and the staff were friendly. Everything at Aquaticum Debrecen Thermal & Wellness Hotel was just right for us. We’ll definitely come back 😊

The restaurant’s food is the best part for me, though everything is buffet style. I like it here. The rooms are clean and nice, but sound carries through the corridors, so you hear every movement, even when someone goes to the toilet at night. Not all the employees are great. The aquapark is mostly for kids or people who have someone to spend time with. The hotel also suits older guests more than someone like me, and it’s good for people who can’t move around much. If the weather’s bad, you can spend the whole day inside.

Maybe we were unlucky, or maybe this is just how it is. We stayed one night during an outdoor music event, and the music blared until 4 am. It was so loud in the room that sleeping was impossible, even with the windows closed. Leaving was another hassle. We’d paid for parking, but the barrier wouldn’t open. The attendant said our ticket needed a stamp, which we hadn’t been given at checkout, so we had to walk back to reception and return, about 15 minutes in all. The parking area itself is confusing and easy to get lost in. The air-conditioning was poor too. It was a very hot day and night, but even after running all night at the loudest setting, it couldn’t bring the room below 24 degrees.
