Platan Hotel

The building looks a little dated and I had questions about the cleanliness, but the breakfast was varied and better than at other Debrecen hotels I've stayed in. The private parking area is nice, with electric vehicle charging and a few covered spaces. It's also handy for the motorway, Tesco, Spar, and a shopping center with several shops. Overall, good.

For a one-night stay, the hotel was fine and clean, and the receptionist was nice. We got there around 9 o'clock, but the restaurant was already closed and the bar was shutting in five minutes. We grabbed a couple of beers and went to bed hungry. It would be nice if reception kept a few sandwiches in a fridge for late arrivals.

The location is great, the food is excellent, and the hotel was clean and tidy. Reception staff were extremely polite. Feri, a younger man, was especially kind and hospitable, always smiling whether it was day or night. Highly recommend it.

I slept really well here, and the hotel is only six minutes from the airport, so it's a great pick if you're arriving in Debrecen that way. The staff were helpful and very polite, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. Rooms are large, clean, usable, and have desks if you need to work. Breakfast was amazing, with vegetables, fruit, close to 10 kinds of cheese, 6 kinds of meat, omelette, sausages, and more. My only gripe was that the sheets were too small to cover the whole bed.
