8/10
The staff were kind, the food was tasty, and getting to the basketball court and fitness facilities was easy. There were also walking, running, and cycling paths nearby in the greenery. It was an enjoyable stay overall. The hotel felt a little cold in its atmosphere, though not in temperature, and reminded me of the communist era. It’s somewhat far from the city center, but close to the sports facilities.

The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, and the hotel is clean, pleasant, simply furnished, and good value. The staff were warm and friendly. Wi-Fi didn’t work and the TV had no signal. Breakfast was fine, though when it got busy and there weren’t enough dishes, staff weren’t very flexible about sorting things out. The bathroom was clean, but there was no soap in the shower.

I stayed here while visiting University of Debrecen, and the location was very convenient, close to both the main campus and Kassai campus. The receptionists were all nice. Room service was awful. They cleaned only every other day, and that seemed to mean changing towels. My sheets were never changed during the whole week, the bed wasn’t made, and the floor wasn’t cleaned. One day they skipped cleaning and said they’d done it the day before. They came only after I asked.

It’s dirty and overpriced, but you could stay a night if nowhere else is available.

The room has a dormitory feel, though otherwise the place was okay.
