It was peaceful but still convenient for town, and definitely memorable. Rosemary, the owner, spoke a little German but no English. She let me store my bike safely and suggested a good dinner spot by the river. The place is quirky and wonderful, almost like staying in a museum.

We felt right at home, even though we knew almost no Hungarian beyond “yes,” “no,” and “thank you,” haha. The owner was absolutely lovely and welcoming. The place was clean, very large, quaint, and wonderfully eclectic, with lots of antiques in use, a lovely courtyard, friendly pets, birds, and nice music playing. The bus stop is a five-minute walk away, and both the Danube and town center are about five minutes on foot. If you want something other than a hotel, stay here. We’ll never get the chance to return to Hungary, but we wish we could.

We were traveling as a couple by bike, and it was hard to leave after such a pleasant night. There's a big yard where you can store the bikes. Our room felt like home, very comfortable and clean, with lovely decor.
