Havas Apartman

Csilla was flexible, straightforward, and helpful, and we were able to check in at 11:30 instead of 2:00 PM. She also suggested the nearby Coop store and Tangó restaurant. We came from Veszprém, and the reservation and advance payment both went smoothly. The two-room apartment has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, Wifi, an equipped kitchen, a separate bathroom and toilet, and a closed yard. The street is quiet, with parking in front of the house or beneath the overpass about 50m away. It's about 1.4 km to the entrance, an easy walk for us. The apartment was shabby and run-down compared with the pictures, and parking was a problem when we arrived with three cars. We had booked it for eight people from May 9 to 11. The owner objected to our being loud and, within the first half hour, threatened to throw us out if we didn't quiet down. We said we hadn't come there just to sleep, so he returned our deposit and told us to leave or he'd call the police. When we asked for that, we were also accused of stealing a towel. I found the whole attitude outrageous and insulting. I don't know what kind of guests they're expecting, but an eight-person group shouldn't be expected to sit quietly in a corner. I wouldn't recommend the apartment to anyone. It gets one star only because I can't give it less, though it deserves -5. My ratings: apartment 1 star, parking 1 star, staff 1 star.

They wrecked a weekend for eight people. The owner came by 20 minutes after we booked and complained that we were loud, saying we could leave if we didn't shut up. It was 5:10 PM, and half our group hadn't even arrived with their luggage yet. People come to Eger for more than prayer. They visit the Szépaszony Valley and often have wine, so I doubt accommodation owners in Eger are surprised when guests are in a good mood. We were thrown out because everyone was drinking!! We couldn't even leave by car, so we had to walk off looking for somewhere to stay!!!!! If you're not anti-alcohol or one of our deaf and dumb compatriots, this isn't the place for you. The furnishings are from the eighties, and so are the manners. We did find another place, where loud noise wasn't a problem, and stayed through Sunday.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, close to the center and attractions, yet quiet and peaceful.
