Hotel Kodmon

A cute hotel with a decent room and a comfortable bed, but a bunch of things were off. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the closet was far too high for someone of average height. The shower flooded because the drain was clogged. There were only a few sheets left on the toilet paper roll when I arrived, and I ran out of tissues on the first night. No kettle in the room, though there was a minibar and fridge.

We booked the suite, which was spacious, but the whole place felt old and outdated, and the shower was broken. There was no daily room cleaning. The city center was also quite a challenge to reach. At the spa, several things were broken or out of order, there was no soap, and the sauna was cold. I really don't recommend it, as it doesn't feel worth the money.

The hotel wasn't as described on Booking. The air conditioning in the rooms didn't work, and although the hotel isn't in the city center, they charged for outside parking and even more for parking inside. Breakfast was basic, and once something ran out, it wasn't replenished. Pool towels cost extra. The TV was about the size of a computer screen and had only four channels. Room cleaning was stingy too. One day, the cleaner did the toilet but didn't tidy or clean the room. The next day, they didn't clean the toilet or change the towels, just made the bed. There's a lot of stinginess in the way this hotel is managed. I don't recommend it. Don't be tempted by the price, I fell for it and got what I deserved.

The hotel is in an idyllic spot, just around the corner from the famous wine caves where they serve “Eger Bull's Blood.” Staff were friendly and always ready to help, and the facilities were excellent. The restaurant is across the road and serves excellent food and wine. Hotel guests get a discount for dining between 7pm and 10pm. We'd recommend staying here.
