We were sorry to leave after our stay on the 20th and 21st of January. The hotel room was cosy and charming, and had the feel of living in a villa in Tuscany or being welcomed into someone's home. The location worked well, right by Eger Castle and two supermarkets, and close to the local thermal spa and Turkish bath, not far from the town centre. The older gentleman and the two ladies who work there really look after guests. It seemed like a family business, and it was lovely to greet them in the morning and receive the same warmth when we left.

The historic interior is what makes staying at Patria Panzio feel like stepping into the 19th, or even 18th, century. The house is more than 100 years old, and the old photos on the walls really bring that period to life. Patria Panzio is right in the heart of Eger, opposite the ancient tower, Eger's Var. The service, room sizes, cleanliness, and even the car parking in a small town with tiny streets all made the stay just perfect.

There are spacious rooms and outdoor space in this very cosy apartment. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful.

The rooms were clean and cleaned every day, and the host was lovely and spoke English. It's right in central Eger, next to the castle, and the place is child-friendly: we were given a changing table and bathtub. We also got two discounts for visits to a nearby restaurant and café. Breakfast was the main downside. It was served in a different building, the food was quite monotonous, and when something ran out at the buffet, staff didn't bring more. The rooms were rather old-fashioned and not a high standard.

I felt completely looked after and like a valued guest at Pátria Panzió. András gave me such personal attention, including joining us for early morning hikes, which became some unforgettable moments from my trip. The place is spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and has a warm, homely feel. It was a really pleasant stay, and I'd definitely recommend Pátria Panzió to anyone visiting Eger.
