The buffet was excellent, with lots to choose from and small changes each day. I ate like a king. The rooms are modern and excellent, and the lobby and buffet area look impressive too. But the water policy at dinner felt needlessly stingy: they don’t serve water, and the only option is to buy a small bottle of about 330 ml for $2-$3. Forget something or want an extra activity, and there are more charges. Darts and sauna use cost extra. That seems fairly standard in Europe, so come prepared and make use of the nearby Lidl. The pool setup is the real highlight, with indoor and outdoor pools plus smaller ones for sound baths, foot massages, and hot and cold plunges. It’s huge and has a range that’s hard to capture in a review. I had a great time, and I’d be surprised if many resorts nearby or in the country offer more kinds of pools.

The changing rooms were spacious and had good hairdryers, and there’s a separate area for children. We went just for the thermal pools, since you don’t have to stay at the hotel to use them. There are lots of warm pools, with a nice view of the famous salt hill from the outdoor ones. It was a pleasant visit.

The food was a letdown: dinner meat was very dry, and the breakfast coffee, juice, ham, and sausages were very low quality. Service was arrogant and rude. The drinks package felt like a complete fraud, since ordering was nearly impossible and items we’d agreed on were missing. Charging people to play darts in such an expensive hotel is a real shame.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were good, with a balcony view of the salt source. Breakfast was good too, though the dinner buffet wasn’t. The spa was nice for relaxing in warm water, but there’s no swimming pool, and the toilets weren’t clean. The sauna costs extra. There’s lovely nature around, but no nice walking path to the salt source.
