I stayed here for three months, from October to January, during winter. At -6°C they didn’t turn on either the room heater or the floor heating. There was also no room cleaning service apart from once a month. Each floor had one shared kitchen just for making tea, with no utensils, and if you needed groceries the shop was 1.5 km away. The lift was out of order for the first two weeks. In the second month there was a water shortage, and during the final ten days of the third month the Wi-Fi didn’t work. A very bad experience. I wouldn’t give it even one star.

We stayed for the last three months and had ongoing problems. There wasn’t a proper kitchen, and the bathroom drains were poor and clogged frequently. Wi-Fi was unreliable and stopped working for the final week. We complained repeatedly but got no response from the hotel. There was no regular room service either, with cleaning done just once a month. The portico lights haven’t worked since we arrived, and again, the hotel didn’t respond properly.

A musty smell, dirty floors, and what looked like bedbugs. The old hotel didn’t seem to have been cleaned before guests arrived. The receptionist was unfriendly. I’ve never seen anything like it and really can’t recommend staying here.

Before booking, be aware that the hotel is in an interior area about 80 km from Budapest, with no nearby hotels for food and the supermarket roughly 1.5 km away. There’s a shared kitchen for 28 rooms, but no clear check-in instructions. Cleaning is only once a month, and you have to buy your own toilet paper and garbage bags.

There are lots of international students living in this dormitory. We students call it a dormitory, while Hungarian people call it diak hotel. If you have a schedule or a program period in your life, you can live here without getting bored. Kszönöm Szepen (Thankyou).
