The room was only 9sq meters, up on the roof floor, with a view and smell from the neighboring factory. Then, at checkout, the receptionist added EXTRA 40 eur for early check in. I’d asked about the possibility by phone before arriving, but nobody mentioned a fee. For a total of 100 eur for two nights, there are plenty of better hotels in the city. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and I travel a lot. Shame.

An ordinary hotel, though the club nearby makes it a bit noisy.

4/10
The room didn’t look like the photos, and the blanket and pillow smelled of smoke. The radiator didn’t work and made a loud noise. There was also a party nearby, with music so loud I couldn’t sleep even with 3 pillows over my head. I came to Gyor for a weekend away, and the hotel ruined it. It was a horrible night in Alfa! I’d rate this hotel 2 out of 10, no more 😕

The rooms were decent for the price, and the breakfast was nice. It was warm enough in winter, with hot water and clean towels. Housekeeping was only moderate, but the place was clean enough for what we paid. A fair stop on the way to Vienna.

The rooms and bathrooms were tidy and clean, and there’s a large, secure car park. The staff were nice too. The one downside was that the Wi-Fi barely worked.
