Borbaratok Haza (Adults Only)

We left and moved to another hotel after finding the room in such a state. It smelled awful, with hair and stains on the bed, mould in parts of the fridge, and what looked like leftover soup inside the kettle. The bathroom cupboard held wet, smelly socks that seemed to have been there for days, and I nearly threw up. There was also a smell like someone had smoked in the room, and the shower head was black and rotten. The receptionist kindly sprayed a few drops of alcohol on the shower head and cupboard, but that barely helped. They offered a refund, which never came, and stopped replying to messages and emails. Don't do it!

The Tramini Room has a double bed, private bathroom and a seating area with a table and two chairs. It also comes with a mini fridge, electric kettle, two glasses, dishes and cutlery. Towels and complimentary toiletries were provided, along with a coupon for 5% off at the pub. There’s one large window in the seating area, but it can’t be opened and faces the pub’s inner stairs, so there’s no way to get fresh air. The accommodation is directly above Borbarátok Háza = Lima Pub and Hostel Győr / Lima Cafe, reached by an indoor staircase. The pub is open 16:00-01:00. There are four rooms, each with its own key box for collecting the room key, and a large postal box for returning it. Check-in and checkout are handled through the GuestAdvisor app, which is also available in English. You can upload ID, update arrival and departure times, view the booking and use other options there. The information emails are all in Hungarian. On check-in day, each person can request and collect one complimentary glass of wine or cup of coffee from the Lima bar. The city tax is 1 euro per person per night, payable in cash at the bar. The nearest parking is on Zechmeister utca, right in front of the Klastrom hotel. It’s free from 18:00-08:00, as is the general city rule.

Good value for a central spot, with welcoming staff and a wide range of alcoholic drinks.

The rooms are fairly basic, but pleasant and worth what you pay. The place itself is nice, with great staff, and a good range of wines plus a special small-batch Hungarian single malt whisky selection. 👍
