We were six and fit comfortably, with shops, the castle, the spa, and the bus stop all easy to reach on foot. The apartment was clean, roomy, and nicely put together, and the yard and terrace were great places to relax. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay, including excellent facilities for cooking and baking indoors or outside. We left with great memories and would recommend it to anyone.

We booked two nights through szallas.hu for 21,000 HUF. The next day, they called to say the price had been entered by mistake because it was a long weekend, and that they wanted three times as much, so we cancelled. I don't consider that a proper way to handle a booking, and I wouldn't recommend the accommodation. I was also unhappy with the response I received afterward: they no longer agreed to report the error to szallas.hu, but cancelled our reservation instead. It took several days for the deducted amount to be returned, and the price had been shown on the site for at least a week. I understand that accommodations want to make a profit over long weekends, but this still wasn't handled properly.

It's a pleasant little place in a very quiet area, and the apartment is thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen is quite minimal, though its size is fine if you aren't planning a big cooking session. The hosts are friendly and chatty. I'd recommend it to anyone after a peaceful stay while exploring Gyula.

We booked at the last minute, when we were only a few hundred meters away, at 10 pm. The host quickly emailed to confirm and ask roughly when we'd arrive. The room was large and clean, and so was the bathroom. It's about a 15-minute walk to the beach, and you can grill or have a disco in the yard. The host speaks Romanian well. The price was more than decent, and we'd be happy to return. 👍😁
