After we called while travelling to Gyula, we found out the owner had mixed up our reservation and there was no room for us. He moved us to the place where his mother lives. She kept opening the part of the house where we were staying and talking to us, so we couldn’t rest. The place smelled disgusting, and nothing worked properly. Then they asked for a brutal amount of money, which made my face burn when they demanded it. They must have sealed off all of Gyula for us. It’s sad there’s so much malice in the world today.

We’d stayed here some time ago and had been glad to come back, because it had been clean and sensible then. This time I arrived with a baby who was almost 11 months old. They charged me for the accommodation and for her too, 37 euros to be exact, and told me to make sure she didn’t cry because other guests had come for peace and quiet. The rooms were a mess, and I found all kinds of insects. There was no electricity in the bathroom, so showering in the dark costs a lot of money 🤫. For 100 euros we stayed two nights, three people, one of them not even a year old yet. If anyone asked me where I’d recommend staying, I’d cross this place off the list. 😡😡

The heating comes in portions, and something is stuck on the radiator so you can’t adjust it. The location is good, but the guesthouse is neglected. The rooms and bathroom seemed dusty and dirty, as if they hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. I wouldn’t even use the towels on my pet. I can’t recommend it for these reasons. I hope the owner takes this into account and fixes the things mentioned. It might be worth returning if they clean it the way an accommodation should be cleaned.

We stayed two nights, and I was bitten in about 30-40 places by the second night. Even after a week, I still hadn’t recovered from it. I know this sort of thing can happen even in the best places, but more thorough cleaning might have prevented it. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, and even a deep clean didn’t seem to get rid of the spiders.
