Aqua Blue Hotel

The pool was fine, and the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were clean, but during our three-night stay nobody emptied the rubbish or cleaned them. The hotel has seen better days and needs quite a few small renovations and investments. Breakfast and dinner were mediocre.

We visited in early September, and the prices were good. The hotel is right in the center, just a few minutes' walk from the town's biggest bath and pool complex and from restaurants. The rooms need renovating and aren't very modern, but they were clean and had air conditioning. Service was really good, the people were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really nice. WiFi worked only in the hotel's shared areas.

The room was spacious, but there was no hairdryer or kettle. With loud talking and disco music allowed in rooms until 10 p.m., it isn't a good fit for very young children.

I was there recently, and the housekeeper stole all the money I had. Avoid this place if you don't want to be robbed. A big thank-you to the Hungarian police, who handled their job like pros.
