I was there for almost ten days, and the staff were generally kind, helpful, and down to earth. The dinners were a real highlight, with homemade tastes and three menus to pick from. They can also accommodate food intolerances if you let them know ahead of time. The room was roomy and had a balcony, electric bed, big TV, Wi-Fi, shutters, and double curtains. Housekeeping was available each day if requested. Treatments felt professionally handled, especially by the physiotherapists. The mud smell takes some getting used to, but the results are hard to deny. The wellness area could use an update and more space, though the sauna itself is really good.

The wellness setup let us down a little. There are no benches in the pools, and the tiny sauna is on a different floor. Still, our room had lots of storage, was nicely furnished and plenty big, with a large TV you could watch from bed. The staff were warm and helpful, and we liked the food and its range.

The meals were tasty, and everyone on staff was kind and helpful throughout. But we came as a young couple for the “New Year’s Eve Sparkling” package, booked through an intermediary website, expecting a wellness break. We arrived to find a rehabilitation center, which was a shock. The shared spaces and general feel were quite hospital-like, which was dispiriting for a couple hoping for a New Year’s Eve getaway. The wellness area shut at 5 pm, and consisted of three small pools with very sulfurous water. There was also a particularly strong sewer smell in the bathroom. Looking back, I could have looked more closely into what kind of place it was. I trusted the intermediary website’s description of a “huge wellness section,” though that didn’t match what we found. I’m not writing this to be malicious, just so other guests, especially younger ones, know what to expect. People coming for healing, rehab, or treatments will probably be pleased, while those looking for a wellness or sparkling experience may be disappointed.
