We got a lovely warm welcome when checking in late at night, and the rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast was fresh and really nice. Before setting off on the long drive back to Holland to catch the ferry to the UK, we stayed for lunch too. The waitress service was pleasant, and the food was top notch. I couldn’t fault the place.

The rooms are simple but in decent shape. The coffee machine in the breakfast room is something else, probably the slowest one in the world.

The staff were genuinely kind, even though I arrived around 2 am. Parking was easy, and the room was very hot, which was welcome while it was snowing outside. Breakfast was ordinary, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. I didn’t feel the room had been cleaned properly. The pillows smelled as if someone else had just slept on them, and the bungalow didn’t feel secure because a second door opened outside and someone could get into the room. Security is already a concern this close to the border. The price was reasonable, though, and it could work for travellers who just need a roof and breakfast for the night.
