The owners speak a little English and German, and breakfast can be arranged if you ask. They live just across the yard, and run this clean, well-kept converted house with free parking. There are four rooms, each with its own bathroom. Three share a kitchen, while one has a private kitchen.
We came in August as a big family, six adults, two children and two small-to-medium dogs. The house was clean and tidy, with a bathroom in every room. The owner's father and son were decent and nice. But the place was advertised as dog-friendly, including for large dogs, and they confirmed that by phone. Even so, the two women in the family were tense with us about the dogs throughout our stay. Sharing a yard with the owners was a basic problem for us. The two women were tense the whole time and behaved like unqualified jerks.
The location worked really well for cycling on the south side of the lake. We rented three bikes from the shop across the street and rode routes to Neusidl am See along the shore, going through both Podersdorf and Rust. The hosts even lent us another bike and were very kind. I spent a few days there with my family, and the spacious, tastefully decorated house had everything we needed for a very good stay.
The owner family were friendly and ready to help, and the room, shared kitchen and yard had everything we needed. We had a lovely week here. I recommend it to everyone.
The village itself is lovely and beautiful, but I found the accommodation just average, nothing special, despite the 9.6 rating I saw online. There wasn't even a fan, and it was 38°C.
