Friendly and clean, though it feels like the place has been frozen in the middle of the '80s.

Everything was fine.

The peaceful, tidy surroundings made it a lovely place to unwind, and the guesthouse was clean, tastefully decorated, and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Our visit to Bangó Guesthouse went beyond what we expected. From arrival, it was clear the couple cared about their guests. They were warm, attentive, and ready to help with anything, from small amenity requests to suggestions for activities and local sights. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere that feels like home as well as a place to stay. We’ll definitely come back!

I had a very upsetting and humiliating experience at this accommodation. When I arrived, I was given keys and shown only the one for the apartment door. No one told me the gate was locked at night or that it needed a separate key. The key I received didn’t open it. The male host came to let me in, but spoke in a lecturing, unpleasant way. The next day I told the female host about the key and her husband’s behavior. She didn’t apologize, saying she couldn’t be expected to check every key. She repeatedly and rudely told me I could leave whenever I wanted and didn’t have to stay there. I had booked two nights, and she knew it would have been difficult to find somewhere else at that point. I felt trapped between cutting my vacation short and staying somewhere I clearly wasn’t welcome, with a hostile atmosphere. The following evening, the male host came at me aggressively again, tried to intimidate me, and used obscene language to insult me. When I was carrying my luggage to the car on departure day, he deliberately blocked my way with his body. He came so close and walked directly in front of me that I had to stop suddenly. If I hadn’t stepped back, we would have collided. In that moment, his conduct felt deliberately provocative and extremely intimidating. As a woman travelling alone, I found it especially threatening and humiliating. This treatment is unacceptable. The way they communicated, shifted responsibility, and rejected a guest was completely inappropriate. I can’t recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel safe, be treated respectfully, and have a peaceful rest.
