Check-in was unpleasant. The room felt like a student dorm, with small pillows and a smell that helped take our minds off being hungry. Not great, but not terrible either. We'd paid in advance for half board. On the first night, we arrived late and got no dinner, even though a cold meal had been promised. The next day was a national holiday, and dinner had been changed to lunch without telling us, so we were left hungry again.

I only went to the day spa. The water was clean, the changing area was convenient, and the price was reasonable.

Check-in took half an hour. The toilet wasn't flushing properly, and the pillow and blanket smelled of sweat.

Built in 1928, this is a quaint, old-school place with everything you need. It’s also close to Centrum, which makes the location handy.

The food was good, though getting to Hevies lake means a long walk.
