The view from the balcony over the valley and surrounding villages was fantastic, and the apartment itself was superb. I stayed in apartment nr. 4. It was huge, 130m2, with two balconies, one 12m2 and the other 6m2. There was plenty of space and everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, a luxurious bathroom, great air conditioning, and nicely furnished balconies. The place was furnished throughout with lovely pieces, including designer furniture. The owner is Australian, very friendly, and speaks English. We also got a remote for the automatic gate so we could park inside the property. By car, Lake Hévîs is about five minutes away. It's said to have the world's strongest, healthiest water, but don't stay in it for more than 20 minutes at once. Rest on the green around the lake, then go back after half an hour. The water is too heavy and strong for longer visits. The lake covers 4,4 hectare, has free furniture for guests, lockerrooms, and private storage for clothes and documents. It's described as the most biologically active natural lake in the world, rich in minerals, with water around 30°C year-round. Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and the center are only a few minutes away by car. The town is hilly, so anyone with mobility limits should take transport rather than walk down and back, even though it's only 1,5 km's. Book this apartment well ahead. It deserves the highest rating.

The only drawback is the hill where the apartment sits. The rooms were clean and nice, and the meal was good.

The area is peaceful, with hardly any mosquitoes, and the rooms have air conditioning. The host is super friendly and always willing to hear guests out. They casually offer fresh fruit or homemade cake, which gives the place a homey feel. Even in peak season, the value is outstanding. A week in a room with a small kitchen and bedroom for €280 is fantastic. Highly recommend it.

I loved my first stay, but this time left me really disgusted. I was told the apartment was 130 square meters, yet it seemed more like 70-80. The host, who was pleasant enough, apparently counted the balconies and terraces in the floor area. I also didn't like him coming into the apartment every day while we were out. He wasn't cleaning, and this isn't a hotel room with room service. Towels could have been changed while we were there. It was already cold in October, and after I complained, the host only started heating the place a little in the mornings and evenings, two days later. We were cold all night, with drafts coming through the balcony doors and wind whistling in. The so-called Deluxe apartment wasn't quiet, either. You could hear everything, and the insect screen magnets rattled badly in the wind. The screen door seemed like it hadn't been fitted properly. I had to get up during the night to zip it closed because we couldn't sleep. There was also a terrible smell from the bathroom, so we had to leave its window open all the time. The description said heating, air conditioning, and the listed floor area were included at no extra charge, but that wasn't how it felt, especially for the price. The bed creaked at every movement and kept waking us; the pillows were rock hard, luckily I had brought my own pillow. I'm writing this to warn people, like the few others who stayed longer than 2-3 days and got to see what it was really like. Sorry, but I won't return.
