Kenguru Panzió

The food was good, and the garden was a really relaxing place to spend time. The staff were okay, and the location felt welcoming. The bathroom was another story. The sink tap had been fitted badly, so whenever I used it, water splashed onto the floor. After my shower, I found a big puddle by the bed and nearly slipped and broke my neck 😅

After a 14-hour drive, we had a hard time getting help from reception. The staff spoke English poorly. I asked how to reach the hotel’s inner parking area, and the receptionist pointed to the right and said, “There.” We had to drive around the hotel to get to it, but none of the gates would open. I went back inside several times to ask for directions, and each time she just pointed again. A few times I asked her to help me find the way, but she said she was talking to a colleague on the phone. I had to wait, while the driver waited for the gates to open. I found that very rude. The bathroom in our room was dirty, with three hairs that weren’t mine. The breakfast eggs were cold, too. We had booked at €75, but after the stay the price went up to €87. The staff said it was because of the currency difference, which made no sense to me since we’ve never paid more elsewhere.

We had a good stay. The room was okay, the food was very nice, and the air conditioning worked well when we needed it. On a very hot day, the pool temperature was just right for swimming. The staff were great. Some didn’t speak English, but using a translation app worked perfectly. And despite what other reviews said, we didn’t smell any horse manure.

There was a party right beneath the bedrooms, so we got no sleep. At the same time, three groups of children were left without food by the Kenguru staff because the event was being held. The place was dirty, with spider webs everywhere, and the staff were horrible. The worst place I’ve ever stayed.
