The waitress Fufurus is the sweetest, most charming person I’ve ever met, and I can’t fault the service. The cakes are another story. Most are average, and the rest feel carelessly made, almost like student work. There’s caramel on so many of them. Why put it on a white chocolate cake? After that, all I could taste was caramel. I tried several cakes, and it felt like a terrible waste of money. The place is still operating, but in a normal city these cakes wouldn’t stand a chance even at a small beginner pastry shop. People here in Kaposvár may be used to poor quality, though I’ve tried other pastry shops too, and one seems worse than the next. They don’t seem to know about animal-based cream, just the usual industrial plant-based products that stick to your palate. I’ll avoid this place for as long as I live. It may suit Kaposvát residents, but I suspect they return for the lovely waitress, not for the unqualified confectionery.
