8/10
The place was neat and tidy, and decent overall, though water was leaking from the toilet. The bigger concern was that staff stopped working around 6 or 7, which could make getting help in an emergency difficult. Kecskemet also gets very quiet after sunset, with shops, malls, and cafes closing around 7 or 8 pm. If you’re planning to arrive late in the evening, it may be better to avoid it.

We ended up moving to another hotel after two nights. We had five rooms, and they were all old and dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable and seemed to be made from pieces, the bed linen was dirty, and the shower in one room didn’t work properly.

The location was the only plus. This is a depressing old hotel from the 1970s, and I’d avoid it if you can. The room was very hot, with an old, uncomfortable bed, a dirty carpet, an unclean bathroom, and a huge wardrobe that felt unnecessary for a short stay. We paid extra for air conditioning, but it only worked like a fan and didn’t cool the room. It was 28 degrees when we left it running, and hours later it had reached 33. Very disappointing. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

The hosts were so kind and helpful, and both breakfast and lunch were delicious and huge. Everything was clean and comfortable, and it’s close to the city center. Absolutely fantastic, no weak points!
