We were already on our way when they called that morning to say they couldn’t guarantee the stay. This was after our reservation for August 6-7 had been confirmed on July 29th. They offered contact details so I could ask about somewhere else, and took it up with Booking.com. Their attitude was below par. Zero rating.

After a 12-hour journey, we were told by phone just a few hours before arrival that our accommodation wasn’t available. We’d booked it four months ahead. They said there was another guesthouse in the neighboring town, but left us to arrange that booking ourselves. We wanted to stay in that town for a reason, yet they stated the situation as if it were completely ordinary. We were treated badly. We won’t be back.

What we received didn’t match what we booked, and the price was off too.
