Mizse Motel

We used to stop at this restaurant for years and even recommended it to friends. The food quality had slipped on recent visits, but we decided to give it one more chance. From the moment we arrived, the staff were unfriendly and arrogant. They wouldn’t even let us use the bathroom, though it wasn’t working and we were willing to pay. So we left to eat elsewhere. We won’t be stopping here again. There are plenty of better quality alternatives.

The Traditional Hungarian Gulash was great and listed at 8€, but they charged me 11€ when I paid, and gave me no receipt. This was my second visit to that scammer restaurant, and it will be my last.

I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I ate at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The waiters speak several languages and were both professional and friendly. The portions were generous, the food nicely presented, and the prices very fair. Compliments to the chefs. I’d recommend stopping in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I didn’t see the rooms, but the main dining hall was gorgeous, so I imagine they’re just as lovely.

The view was lovely and peaceful, especially in the morning and around sunset, and the clean, cozy hotel made for a refreshing stop. Staff were friendly and ready to help. The food was a real highlight: fresh, flavorful meals, carefully prepared with quality ingredients. I liked the local flavors and the variety on offer, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mizse Hotel is a good choice if you’re passing through or want a quiet getaway. I’d come back for the food alone, and the good service and surroundings make the whole stay satisfying.
