Hotel Aurora

The breakfasts were generous and nice, and the front desk staff were helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, and it’s a nice hotel. Parking in the backyard is awkward to access, though. The restaurant options didn’t appeal to us much, so we went somewhere nearby for dinner.

The staff made this a five-star stay for me. They exceeded my expectations after I’d dealt with some unfriendly czechs, and helped me overlook a few outdated details. The jacuzzi and food were good too, so the experience turned out far better than I expected. I almost canceled after reading some poor reviews. Some seemed to come from people with few or no other contributions, or who had only one complaint despite the rest of their experience. Maybe you didn’t like the place, but if those reviews are genuine, try rating other places too, including the ones you enjoyed. Aurora deserves the fifth star.

The bar could use work. They only had a few cocktails, and even those weren’t very good. The bathroom had a shower cabin but no bathtub, and we didn’t try the wellness area, though it looked OK. The fitness room has been converted into a children’s animation studio, so it’s no longer available. Otherwise, we were fully satisfied. The room was clean and tidy, with modern furniture, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. It was quiet, and the French balcony had a lovely view of the hills. Breakfast had plenty of options.

I can’t understand why the average is only 4.6. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and it deserves 5.0.
