Matild Country Hotel

We had such a hard time leaving! It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, and I’d highly recommend it. The place was even more beautiful in person than on the website. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the grounds and stables were gorgeous. The staff were kind and accommodating. Our group had one experienced rider, me, two beginners, and one non-rider, and everyone had a great time. I went on two cross-country rides, with long trots and canters through forests and vineyards. My friends took riding lessons or relaxed in the gardens.

The area is gorgeous, with exceptional views, and makes a great spot for walks or morning runs. It’s a really nice place with very friendly staff. Alongside indoor and outdoor horseback riding, there’s a small restaurant, playground, ball court, swimming pool, and jacuzzi.

There’s a good range of friendly animals here, from horses to cats, and the staff are friendly too. The price is very good, and there’s a jacuzzi, sauna, and small pool. You can ride indoors or outside, including longer rides. Local wine makers are plentiful, with chances to taste their products. I’ve been to many places around Balaton, but this is the best for horse lovers. The food is super, super quality.

A spacious, comfortable, clean apartment with everything we needed. The restaurant serves quality food, and the owner and staff are friendly. It’s an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area.
