Arany Kakas Fogado

UPDATE: We used to come here regularly, but we won't be back. On our last visit some time ago, the young waitress was inattentive and unpleasant, chatting with the other staff instead of looking after customers. We complained to the owner the next day, but she didn't seem particularly interested. It was different on an earlier visit, when there were quite a few other diners. We were served quickly and politely, and the meals came promptly. They looked good, there was plenty of food, and it tasted delicious. We had an excellent experience then.

The room was a reasonable size, and the check-in and dinner staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was poor, though. We got a menu to choose from, but extras like juice, coffee, and bread came at an additional cost, and there was no butter. The breakfast staff were very unfriendly. The bed linen was too small for the mattress and didn't cover the bed properly. There was traffic noise all night. In the bathroom, the shower-head holder on the wall was broken, so I had to hold it while showering. The water barely got warmer than lukewarm, and the shower curtain clung to me.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It was all perfect, and I'd absolutely recommend staying here for a few days in the countryside and exploring the beautiful nature nearby.

The food was good and the service very professional. I didn't stay there, so I can't really say anything about the rooms.
