The owners are friendly, kind, and keen to help at this small family-run place with just a few rooms. They have a massage chair and infra sauna available, plus a little kitchen with an automatic coffee machine. The guesthouse is a bit outside the city centre, but it's a good 30-minute walk at most, and the owners offer a free lift if you need one. There's also a useful leaflet about local sights, attractions, and restaurants.

We were especially glad to have parking right next to the guesthouse, which made everything much easier. The price was very good for the quality too, which feels rare these days. We came for a little rest, and the place surpassed what we'd hoped for. The staff were warm, attentive, and helpful the whole time. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and neat. We had a perfect stay in every way. Next time we're heading towards Sárospatak, we'll definitely pick Margaréta Panzió again. I wholeheartedly recommend it! 🥰

After a day of hiking, it was great to relax in the massage chair. There's plenty to do nearby too, with Tengerszem, a suspension bridge for the brave, several castles, and a lookout tower close by. Or you can just walk down to the next street and stroll along the Bodrog coast. We spent a few days in a lower-floor apartment and felt very comfortable there. The space was pleasant, roomy, and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything needed for a quick dinner. A nice surprise was getting unlimited delicious coffee from the machine. Both the room and bathroom were very clean.

The guesthouse is set in a quiet part of the garden suburb. It's about a 30-35 minute walk to the center, where you'll find restaurants and the castle. The owners are a very nice and hospitable couple, and the location is really good.
